Nigerians in the United Kingdom are one of the most resourceful, intelligent, educated, hardworking and successful nationalities that make up the multi-cultural society of the United Kingdom.
Official figures put the population of Nigerians in the United Kingdom at 1.5 million but realistic estimates reconcile at well over two million. This means that, in terms of population, there are more Nigerians in the United Kingdom than there are nationals in over seventy countries including Botswana, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Gabon, Qatar, Estonia, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, Swaziland, East Timor, Djibouti, Fiji, Cyprus, Bahrain, Guyana, Monaco, Cayman Islands, Seychelles, Antigua and so on, according to an estimate of the Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. These contributions are being felt almost a daily basis as more and more Nigerians prove their mettle wherever they are employed or in any business they are engaged in.
