The Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK) is the umbrella body of all Nigerian Associations in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
CANUK was formed in recognition of a clear need to unite the plethora of Nigerian societies, bodies, unions and organizations under one all-embracing umbrella organisation with a view to ensuring that whenever and wherever appropriate, the welfare, views, and community interests of Nigerians in the United Kingdom are represented in a harmonious and organised manner, thereby giving a common forum and united voice to an expression of pride and hope for a vibrant Nigeriancommunity in the United Kingdom.
CANUK has proven itself and has been breaking ground over the last 4 years successfully promoting all that is good about Nigerians in the UK and establishing itself as representative of all Nigerians in the UK.
Explore our site Vote and tell what you would like to see, join our Blogg or just peruse our photos. And most importantly give us feedback about what you think we can improve. There is always room for improvement and for your views.
We work closely with the Nigeria High Comission in the UK and you can contact them at www.nigeriahc.org.uk - we recommend that you register at the site for ease of service - many of their service are now available on-line. We also work colaboratively with other Pan Nigerian Groups such as NIDOE and NIDOA. Check out the NIDOE (UK South) site for their complementary activities.

With 10 years to achieve our national Vision 202020 we really must ALL pull out the stops.
So welcome to CANUK and Nigeria in 2010 - the year of hope and change.
