CANUK MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Application for membership is invited from members of the Nigerian community. Membership of CANUK is through organisations and associations. We recommend that Nigerians in the UK register as members of organisations (see organisations list above) or form associations and register under CANUK as follows:

Ordinary Membership:

Can be Nigerian Professional Organisations, Cultural Organisations,  Sporting Organisations, Student Organisations,  State-based welfare Organisations or welfare organisations based in the regions of the United Kingdom.

To become members, organizations should have a membership strength of twenty or more (which will entitle them to be represented by one delegate in the General Assembly, and where they have a membership strength of forty and above, they shall be entitled to be represented by a maximum of two delegates in the General Assembly). This level of membership qualifies you to vote or be voted for within CANUK.

Registration fee is currently  £50 per association plus £50 delegate fee payable on registration depending on the number of delegates. Registration fee is paid only once but the delegate fee is paid annually.

You can also join CANUK as:

Associate Members:

This is for corporate bodies, Charities and other  groups and don't have to have any specific number of members. As associate member, you can attend our general assembly to contribute to debates but can not vote or be voted for. By joining as an Associate, your organisation will have CANUK's full support.

Registration fee is £50 per association plus £50 delegate fee payable on registration depending on the number of delegates. Registration fee is paid only once but delegate fee is paid annually.
