Omo Sandra, a Nigerian Born professional model resident in the UK has become the first Nigerian in Diaspora to win the Nigerian/ MBGN Model of the year title. She will represent Nigeria at the international model of the year competition in South Korea, as well as other modelling competitions. Prior to MBGN, Omo was the first black girl to win the Face of Brighton Modelling competition in July 2007. She has graced many catwalk shows including the London fashion week and have appeared in numerous magazines. The Nigerian High commission in the UK recently awarded her an achievement award in recognition of her success, and contribution to the pride of Nigerians in the UK.
OJO INHERITS NIGERIAN TRADITION
London Irish winger Topsy Ojo (22) extends a proud tradition of England internationals with Nigerian roots Twenty years ago, Chris Oti scored a debut hat-trick against Ireland at Twickenham.
Oti has been followed by fellow Anglo-Nigerians Victor Obogu, Steve Ojomoh and Adedayo Adebayo in playing for England. Ojo joins that exclusive club watched by his father Akin and elder brother Babs in New Zealand. Congratulations.

Lord Adebowale is the Chief Executive of the social care enterprise Turning Point (charity). In 2000, Adebowale was awarded the CBE in the New Year’s Honour List for services to the New Deal, the unemployed, and homeless young people. In 2001, Victor became one of the first group of people to be appointed as people's peers and chose the title Baron Adebowale, of Thornes in the County of West Yorkshire.
